Varsity Head Coach: Greg Dorgan

Coach Greg Dorgan is a 2002 graduate of Schaumburg High School. He was a two-year varsity basketball player under Coach Bob Williams and a part of the 2001 State Champion team that took down Eddy Curry’s Thornwood team in one of the biggest upsets in IHSA history. Coach Dorgan is a 2007 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and as a member of the Marching Illini and Basketball band, gained invaluable experience traveling to various Big Ten universities and being a part of the 2005 Fighting Illini and their journey to the Final Four and national championship game.


Coach Dorgan enters his 12th year teaching math and coaching basketball. In his second year at Mundelein, he will be teaching AP Statistics and Geometry. His wife, Emily, is also a teacher, directing 5th-grade beginning band in Gurnee. They have two children, Madeleine & Luke, who love to wear red and cheer on the Mustangs!

Assistant Varsity Coach Sarah Davis 

Coach Sarah Davis is a 2008 graduate of Palatine High School, where she played varsity basketball for four years. She is a 2012 graduate of Illinois State University and played on, as well as coached, the competitive club basketball team. After graduating from Illinois State University, she worked as a teaching assistant at Academy South High School in District 211. She also coached basketball at Palatine High School for five years as one of the assistant varsity coaches. Over the last two years, she went back to school to receive her Master’s Degree in Special Education from National Louis University, which ultimately brought her here!          

Her husband, Ryan, works as a technical recruiter/sales manager in Chicago, but actually has his degree in social work from Illinois State University as well! He is very excited about her new position and can’t wait to come and support the Mundelein Lady Mustangs this upcoming season!​

Junior Varsity Coach: Brad Suhling


Coach Suhling began coaching at Mundelein High School in 2011.  He has coached at various levels in the Mundelein feeder program previous to joining the Mundelein High School coaching staff.  Over the past seven years, he has been the Athletic Director at Frassati Catholic Academy and St. Mary of the Annunciation and Transfiguration.  Coach Suhling is currently enrolled at Northeastern University while he finishes his elementary education degree and minor endorsement in ESL.  Coach Suhling is a lifelong Mundelein resident and father of two daughters. In his free time, he volunteers for Play Like a Champion out of Notre Dame University and assists in training coaches, parents, and administrators.

Freshman Coach Kelli Goodwin

Coach Kelli Goodwin is in her 4th year in the Wellness Department at Mundelein High School and 8th-year overall teaching.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University and graduate degree from Emporia State University.  Coach Goodwin has coached for 8 years in several sports including girls’ basketball, soccer, cross country, and volleyball. Coach Goodwin is excited to be a part of the basketball program and looking forward to the upcoming season!

Freshman Coach: Jeanne Herry

Coach Jeanne Herry is in her first year on staff after volunteering the past two seasons. She is a 2009 graduate of Mundelein High School, earned her bachelors degree at UIC, and now enters her second year as an instructional aide at MHS. Coach Herry loves supporting our Mustangs, she can often be seen at numerous games, events, and activities and we are excited to have her continue to work with our young ladies.
